Contemplating the stark realisation that I was never going to find fulfilment on the current trajectory of my deluded journey of milestone leaping, I felt kind of stupid. Seriously bewildered at how I had let myself fall into the trap of perpetual disappointment, chasing an ever-receding finish line. I can’t believe I fell for it, a classic consumerism ruse: I let myself believe all I needed was that next ‘thing’ for everything to be better - and more crucially, I had never stopped to notice that I was moving the goalposts before my very eyes.

I was invited recently to photograph the Fredde Lanka x 3rd Rock genderless pride collection for 3rd Rock. Always good to see when a brand puts money where their mouth is, commissioning London-based queer Swedish artist, Fredde Lanka (he/they), to design the collection.
